介绍:

Commerce Casino wants you to learn to play Poker the correct way, so we’ve started our own University! There are no prerequisites, no twelve hour entrance exams, no term papers, and best of all, THE ONLY “TUITION” IS YOUR FREE REGISTRATION FOR AN OFFICIAL COMMERCE CASINO CCUP PLAYERS CARD!!! Whenever you play in ANY game at the Commerce, a simple swipe of your card instantly earns you cash value bonus points. They’re like “Frequent Flyers” points only they NEVER expire, there are no payments or annual fees, and to earn them, you never have to risk a crash landing in the Hudson River! Its a free University that teaches you how to play poker and win money. Don’t take the expensive path of “paying for your lessons” in a poker game. That is where every mistake has a price tag and the “advice” your opponents give you is like getting a get well card from a funeral home. Your Professor is the highly respected Poker Comedian Roger Rodd, Hollywood‘s “Instructor To The Stars”. Check out some of his credentials:

"Roger is the nuts, in poker, in teaching and in performing. Listening to him will entertain and educate you."

- Mike Sexton, Poker Champion and Commentator for The World Poker Tour

"When the director from LUCKY YOU asked me if I could recommend a top quality poker coach for Robert Duvall and Eric Bana, I told him - That's easy...Roger Rodd."
- Matt Savage, Internationally Acclaimed Tournament Director

"I was getting kicked around in a private poker game with my friends. Shortly after a couple of sessions with Roger, I won a televised Celebrity Poker Tournament. He's the best!"
- Actor, Chazz Palminteri

STARTING NOVEMBER 17, 2009
CCUP GRADUATE TOURNAMENTS!!

Attention CCUP Graduate Students!!
Starting November 17, 2009 our new class structure will be as follows:
We’ll continue our usual pattern of part one Tuesday classes for Beginners and Wednesday classes for Intermediate students, followed by a week of the part two segments of both classes respectively. EVERY THIRD WEEK IN THE PROGRESSION WILL NOW BE A CCUP GRADUATE TOURNAMENT WEEK!!
That week we will host a Beginners Tournament on Tuesday and an Intermediate Tournament on Wednesday. Note that these are held on the usual nights for those class levels. Here is the best part. YOUR ENTRY IS FREE IF YOU QUALIFY!!
To qualify, you MUST HAVE ATTENDED BOTH CLASSES of the tournament level offered. (Sorry-no Intermediate Graduates allowed in the Beginners Tournaments. Shame on you Intermediates for thinking of that, but good idea just the same! The Beginners however are free to take their chances with the newborn “sharks” in the Intermediate Tournament).

The winners of each tournament will receive prizes, cash, and at least three weeks of bragging rights!
Finally you’ll be able to say that you did something with your education!

NO BEGINNER IS TOO GREEN!!!
In the two part Beginner’s Class, Roger will demystify all facets and confusions of poker for any aspiring new player. Starting with the ranking of hand values and continuing through the understanding of the blinds and fundamentals, you’ll soon be fluent in the colorful jargon of the game.
In the class titled Beginner’s 1, our initial goal is to establish the concepts of hand values, betting fundamentals and rounds. The session begins with the structure and meaning of a deck of cards and culminates with actual casino formatted poker playing. The first segment ends upon the conclusion of these topics. To maximize comprehension, enjoyment, and fairness to all students, the Beginner’s 1 class is considered a prerequisite for the Beginner’s 2 class.

Beginner’s 2 starts with a brief review, then forges ahead into the understanding and function of the blinds. Upon unanimous student comprehension, we learn the process of how pots are built and awarded. Following a “learn as we go” pattern, the terminology and differentiations of poker in general are combined with an emphasis on Texas Holdem.
Upon conclusion of the two classes, all students will find themselves ready to watch, discuss, or best of all, PLAY Texas Holdem!

INTERMEDIATE HOLDEM
TIME TO STEP UP YOUR GAME???
If you’re already a player who doesn’t need to learn from the ground up, but you’re getting ground up either in a live game or online, we have an Intermediate Class for you! Beginner’s Classes meet on Tuesdays from 8pm-10pm, while Intermediate Classes are on Wednesdays from 8pm-10pm.

All sessions are taught in a private room with no intimidation or distractions whatsoever. CCUP wants you to learn how the pros play top set against a double double, an overpair in the two hole, and a donkey playing an airball who just picked up color with one to come!

CCUP presents these classes for the existing home game, online, or casino poker player who wants to improve their results or go to the next level. In a two part format, Intermediate 1 will establish the foundations and fundamentals required to excel as a casino level Holdem player. As it is required in our two part Beginner’s Classes, the same policy prevails. To maximize comprehension, enjoyment, and fairness to all students, the Intermediate 1 class is considered a prerequisite for the Intermediate 2 class.

Intermediate 2 will specifically focus upon the strategic, pragmatic, and emotional differences of casino Holdem as their singular and common aspects directly apply to three criteria; Limit, No Limit, and Live Game Play vs. Tournament Play.

In both Intermediate classes, a comprehensive menu of all necessary elements for winning play will be closely detailed and examined, as will specific strategic situations.
All classes are interactive and often will involve both spiritual and fundamental requirements for continued success.

No honest poker instructor can guarantee to make any person a winning poker player, but we do guarantee that Roger will teach you exactly what it takes to become one!
